From the outside, it is hard to distinguish these houses from Khrushchev-era buildings – five-storey houses built with bricks, and some of the apartments have balconies. The biggest differences are in the layout of the rooms and the staircases. Some of the houses in this project have loggias and the external walls tend to be plastered. They are located in Ķengaraga, Purvciems, Āgenskalns, Teika, Jugla.
The Brezhnev-era houses followed the Khrushchev-era houses – the layout of the rooms has been improved, the rooms are isolated, the toilet room is separated from the bathroom by a wall. Sound insulation good enough, better thermal insulation than in panel houses with large windowsills.
