Become a real estate agent

A real estate agent – broker deals with the purchase and sale of real estate (land, buildings, apartments), as well as with the leasing and rental of various properties.

A real estate agent often seeks clients by placing advertisements for the provision of brokerage services or by referring to the advertisements placed and offering real estate owners to represent their interests in the property sale process. Thus, the list of clients of a real estate specialist – broker includes many different sales options, which helps to make transactions more quickly.

What you need:

  • Ability to argue and convince, find a compromise and agree;
  • A high sense of responsibility and the ability to independently plan and organize one’s work;
  • Experience is not required, however, an interest in the real estate field is highly desirable;
  • Ability to maintain professional and positive contact with customers;
  • Good knowledge of Latvian;
  • A computer and the ability to use it at a good level, for editing images and documents.

By viewing the property on site, a real estate agent helps the owner estimate what price the property could be sold for – what its market value might be.

When a real estate agent meets with a potential buyer, they clarify their wishes and options, for example, what property the client wants to purchase, for what amount, and what the payment terms are.


Do what you like and you will never have to work

There is no room for routine in the daily life of a real estate agent – broker. An agent spends about half of their time sitting at a computer, the other half is spent meeting with clients or arranging transactions.
