The building at 5 Miera Street is a rationalist Art Nouveau building. The project is located in one of the most popular neighbourhoods in Riga and is considered one of the most creative neighbourhoods in the world. The building is located on the corner of Miera and Maiznīcas Street and consists of 6 floors, with 29 apartments on the 1st-6th floors and commercial space on the ground floor.
The building is currently undergoing renovation works. The renovation process will include the renovation of the facade of the building, both on the street side and in the courtyard. Both staircases will be renovated, giving the building a modern and bright colour scheme, while retaining its historic aura, and the lift will be renovated. The courtyard will be landscaped, greened and a children’s playground will be installed.
The apartments retain original features such as plank floors, old wooden doors and ceiling rosettes, with ceiling heights of 3.10 m in all apartments.
The basement provides storage space.
